Overview
Unity Small Finance Bank Limited (Unity Bank) is a scheduled Commercial Bank and a digital-first bank, offering Branch Banking, Business Banking, Inclusive Banking, and Digital Banking services to over 15 lakh customers across India.
Since commencing operations in November 2021, Unity Bank has grown its assets under management (AUM), excluding its legacy PMC book, to ₹12,311 crore as of March 31, 2026, up from ₹11,521 crore a year earlier, with a deposit base of ₹12,045 crore over the same period, per CRISIL Ratings.
Unity Bank partnered with Uncia to implement Uncia Flow, Uncia’s Supply Chain Finance (SCF) platform, going live in under 100 days.
Business Challenge
As a young, digital-first bank scaling quickly since its November 2021 launch, Unity Bank needed a Supply Chain Finance platform that could support a three-party financing structure, connecting buyers, sellers, and lenders on one system, without the long implementation timelines that are typical in the SCF platform market.
Uncia’s Solution
Unity Bank implemented Uncia Flow, Uncia’s Supply Chain Finance platform, built to bring buyers, sellers, and lenders together in one system.
Key elements of the implementation included:
- A three-party financing construct. The platform handles the full range of functions between buyer, seller, and lender through templatized onboarding and transaction journeys.
- Cloud-agnostic and database-agnostic architecture. This flexibility, combined with ERP integration capabilities, supported a fast, configurable rollout.
- A productized deployment model. Rather than the one-time license fees and long implementation cycles common in the industry, Uncia used a set of pre-defined, productized services to streamline the go-live and post-go-live process.
The implementation, which included migration from Unity Bank’s existing platform, was completed in under 100 days.
Business Impact
- Go-live achieved in under 100 days, including migration from the existing platform.
- Unity Bank now runs its Supply Chain Finance operations on a platform designed to handle buyer, seller, and lender workflows in one system, supporting the bank’s broader AUM of ₹12,311 crore as of March 31, 2026.
G.L. Kumar, Chief Business Officer, Business Banking at Unity Bank, said: “Unity Bank is committed to delivering a seamless digital banking experience, and this collaboration with UnciaFlow aligns perfectly with our mission. UnciaFlow’s robust and agile platform provides us with a seamless and rapid deployment framework. We are particularly impressed with their cloud-agnostic and database-agnostic capabilities, which align perfectly with our vision of collaboration and open architecture.”
Conclusion
Unity Bank’s rollout of Uncia Flow shows how a fast-growing digital bank can bring a Supply Chain Finance platform live in a compressed timeline, without the drawn-out implementation cycles common in the space. By bringing buyers, sellers, and lenders onto a single, configurable platform, Unity Bank positioned its SCF operations to scale alongside the rest of its business.
Hari Padmanabhan, Chairman, Uncia Technologies, said: “Reaching this milestone serves as a testament to our steadfast pursuit of excellence and customer satisfaction, achieved by leveraging our pre-configured, highly agile, rigorously tested, and supremely secure SCF platform. One of the most notable accomplishments of this enterprise go-live was its migration from the existing platform and completion in less than 100 days. We look forward to working with Unity Small Finance Bank as it leverages the robust capabilities of our platform to support its ambitious plans.”
